Happy Birthday Sony PMW-F5 & PMW-F55!
Happy Birthday to the Sony PMW-F5 and F55 who will be three years old in the New Year.
The F5 and F55 are easily the most scalable cameras available.Shooting from 50 Mb/s MPEG2, through XAVC HD, 2K, UHD and 4K. Pro Res and DNX, and then RAW with the AXS-R5 adapter. The cameras have proved themselves ultra reliable and robust with one of our projects using them on Natural History programmes around the globe for three years without incident. Significantly lighter, cheaper, true 4Kand less power hungry than the Arri Amira, the F5 & F55 are an easy choice for the professional cameraman.
The eagerly awaited V7 software will become available in Jan 2016 completing the road map and making the cameras the most versatile, easy to use on the market.

- Refinement of the Rotary Encoder making menu selection quicker and more accurate.
- Quick View Menu on the side panel will include more camera set up options.
- Rec 2020 is available in V7.0
